Introduction to crucible
1. High heat resistance, about 1200 ℃.
2. It is suitable for melting samples of K2S2O7 and other acidic substances.
3. Generally, it can't be used for melting with NaOH, Na2O2, Na2CO3 and other basic materials as fluxes to avoid corrosion of porcelain crucibles. The porcelain crucible should not be in contact with hydrofluoric acid.
4. Ceramic crucible can be washed by boiling with dilute HCl.
5. Ceramic crucibles can be divided into: medium wall crucible, low wall crucible, high wall crucible, plain crucible, volatile crucible, tight crucible, Roga crucible, double-layer crucible, Guchi crucible, fine hole crucible, infrared carbon sulfur crucible, free expansion coefficient crucible, etc.
6. Ceramics have water absorption. Therefore, in order to reduce the error, the crucible should be strictly dried before use and weighed on the analytical balance. Sometimes the analyte is filtered with ashless filter paper, which is put into the crucible together; the filter paper is completely decomposed at high temperature without affecting the results. After high temperature treatment, the crucible and its contents are dried and cooled in a special dryer, and then weighed. Clean crucible tongs are used to clamp the whole process.
